For Product marketing

Keep your positioning close to the evidence.

Keep battlecards and competitor comparisons tied to the pages they cite, and know when one needs updating.

The work

A comparison can outlast the page it cites, and reps keep repeating it. Keep the source attached so you know when a competitor's page changes and can update the guidance before the next call.

A typical workflow

Capture competitor claims

Capture public pricing, packaging, product and documentation pages. Baseline evidence can support the first guidance without waiting for a change.

Prepare approved guidance

Draft the position, talk track, objection response and claims to avoid with AI, or write them yourself. Approve a saved version and send it to reps in Slack; they read it from a private link without an account.

Review newer evidence

When a cited page changes, the guidance is flagged for review and AI suggests the revised wording for you to review. Save a revision and approve it before reps get the update.

Boundary

A retained capture establishes what was captured from the selected page. It does not establish how well a competitor's feature performs.

Inspect a fictional report with captured evidence, interpretation, and follow-up.

Do I need a detected change first?

No. After a successful first capture, you can use the retained evidence to prepare sales guidance or a report.

What does captured evidence establish?

It establishes what was captured from the selected public source at that time. It does not verify the source's claims or show activity outside the retained record.

How long is the free trial?

14 days with 5 monitored pages. No card is required, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends.

Can reps read guidance without a Scoutmark account?

Yes. Approved guidance can be posted to a Slack channel with a private link that works for 30 days. Approving a newer version replaces the old links.
